Babygear, a family run business with 32 years history and the premier pram and baby equipment centre in the South West of England. With over 2000sq ft of showroon space we have the largest selection of prams on display.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, add any items that you wish to purchase into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments, or you may send a cheque in advance.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Most backordered items are not charged until they are shipped, we will advise you first if we need to charge before shipping.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in case a mistake has been made in pricing or availability. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

We mainly use UPS and Royal Mail to handle shipping. Shipping charges will be added at checkout. Many items include free shipping or a fixed shipping charge.

We ship to the following zones

Zone 2 (Additional shipping may apply - we will let you know - you may cancel without cost)
Islands, Highlands GB and Nt Ireland

We do not bill our card at checkout. We simply take the details to process it later if we approve and accept your order. You can always contact us to cancel or change your order, either just after you place it or when you receive a confirmation email.

Delivery Schedule

Small items are usually posted out within1-3 business days. Larger items typically delivered withing 7-10 business days. Please note some goods can take up to 30 days, but we will advise you.

Important

If you have not recieved an email from us your order has not been successful. Occasionally computer browsers can drop out just as you click confirm, or something can cause a glitch on the broadband network. While this can be frustrating it is not a fault of Babygear and there is no way we can know you were trying to order from us if it happens.

Lost orders

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit, so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

The Baby Studio Ltd is VAT registered. All goods include the apropiate rate of VAT

Credit Card Security

We have chosen a major card payment processing company to handle payments. Your transaction could not be in safer hands.

The Baby Studio Ltd, trading as Babygear is PCI DSS compliant. To be permitted to take card payments we undergo annual verification to ensure we remain in compliance with the Credit Card industry Security Requirements. Naturally we also maintain daily vigilance. For added security, and to make our compliance easier for us to achieve, we never receive your card data on any of our computers.

At payment time you are taken to the card processing company for that final part and then transferred back to Babygear after you have provided them with your details.

You card will be processed by SellerDeck Payments acting as an agent for CreditCall a major global credit card clearing company, leaders in online payment security and innovators of various payments systems, handling many millions of card transactions per month.

CreditCall are used by Hilton, Toyota, VirginTrains, NCP and many other global major brands.

Guarantee

In June 2016 the name Babygear and the trading stock were acquired byThe Baby Studio Ltd. The Baby Studio's Babygear is a totally separate company to the original Babygear and cannot offer warranty or refunds for purchases prior to June 2016.

All items come with the original manufacturers warranty. Some manufacturers offer 2 or 3 year warranties. We will always assist both original Babygear and new Babygear customers obtain support under their manufactureres warranty. Please contact us for speciffic item details.

The Baby Studio Ltd t/a Babygear does not disclose your information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the current Distance Selling Directive. (Online Orders Only)

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery to you Although you are responsible for the cost and insurance of returned items. Please note bespoke items are not eligable for return under the regulations.

To return an item contact us us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition. If packaging is damaged or missing a charge will apply. In plain english, if we cannot put the item back on sale for the original price, due to damaged packaging or other effects caused by the customer, the amount we need to reduce the price by will be deducted from any refund.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.


The above regulations only apply to online orders. In store orders are not eligable for returns, although if you advise us immediately we will try to help.
